Therapeutic Massage

At Summit, our aim is to provide therapeutic massage that prioritizes YOUR goals. We will combine techniques as appropriate to manage your short and long term needs. We believe that therapeutic massage is effective in many ways, including:


  • Muscle Recovery- through application of techniques of varying depth, we can attend to specific muscle areas within the context of a whole body treatment that can achieve muscle relaxation and recovery.  


  • Relaxation- our culture's pace can lead to stress in our lives. Higher blood pressure, musculoskeletal tension and chronic postural issues are just some of the side effects of increased stress. General relaxation has far reaching benefits such as cognitive focus, faster recovery, and better response time to the body's therapeutic needs.


  • Body Mobility- techniques that fit into a 'sports-massage' category can help reduce muscular and joint tension. A mobile body is more able to produce smooth, fluid movements and carry you comfortably through your endeavors.

Pilates

Pilates develops a kinesthetic connection to your body like nothing else! By listening to your body's needs and making necessary corrections, you are able to develop muscle performance throughout your body that supports healthy activity choices. Pilates can put all the pieces together: balance, strength, and endurance.  To achieve this, you challenge your body's 'software' to coordinate these components and achieve a resilience that thwarts injury.  Patients report better balance and stability, core strengthening, restorative conditioning, postural support and overall movement confidence.

Strength and Conditioning

Our vision of personal training is different...and the options are endless.  Your needs are at the forefront. Are you interested in maintaining neurocognitive function for longevity more than lifespan? Do you want to increase muscle mass and overall metabolic health? Strength and Conditioning work starts with a screening of your movement capacity, and a discussion of your goals. With those parameters, you can begin a fun, safe, and challenging plan that can change how you think about fitness!

Metabolic Testing


Summit Physical Therapy & Wellness aims to support your personal wellness goals. We have state of the art metabolic assessment tools that can produce accurate readings of your Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR), Heart Rate Variability (HRV), and VO2Max. We can use these data to inform decisions as you plan your Wellness Journey. Wellness Categories include: cardiovascular training, resistance training, dietary choices relaxation/meditation rest and recovery. We believe that charting a course for better health is more successful with ways to measure your progress.
